Teicoplanin Bradex 200 mg and 400 mg  powder and liquid for injection/infusion, solution 6 ml vial

 

Powder and liquid for injection/infusion, solution

  • Powder: White to off-white freeze-dried powder.

  • Liquid: Clear, colorless solution.

 

 

Indications

Teicoplanin Bradex is indicated for adults and children from birth for parenteral treatment of the following

infections (see sections 4.2, 4.4 and 5.1):

 

  • complicated skin and soft tissue infections

  • bone tissue and joint infections

  • hospital-acquired pneumonia

  • community acquired pneumonia

  • complicated urinary tract infections

  • infective endocarditis

  • peritonitis associated with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD)

  • bacteremia arising in connection with any of the indications listed above.

 

Teicoplanin Bradex is also indicated as an alternative oral treatment for Clostridium difficile infection-associated diarrhea and colitis.

 

Storage

Powder and solution packaged for sale do not require special storage conditions.

•200 mg, carton x 1 vial x 200 mg + 1 ampoule x 3 ml diluent.

•400 mg carton x 1 vial x 400 mg + 1 ampoule x 3 ml diluent
